Edward Harney—Trustee of Parks, Roads, and Streets
Ed Harney was appointed to the Sleepy Hollow Village Board to fill a vacancy and was subsequently elected to a four-year term in 2021. Prior to that he served on the Sleepy Hollow Zoning Board of Appeals. Ed moved to Sleepy Hollow with his family in 1978 and has been an integral part of the community. He and his wife, Sue, raised their two children here and have been active in a variety of boards and community projects. He is a retired American Airlines pilot and a former Navy pilot. He coached his son’s soccer and little league baseball teams and is an active supporter of the Dundee Township Open Space Program. He is a member of Willow Creek Community Church and has volunteered at its Care Center one day a week for many years. He appreciates the opportunity to give back to the village and is grateful to the Village residents who do what they can to keep it a unique and wonderful place to live.
